Agents can also read the JSON manifest or download the standard instruction ZIP directly.

Automatic discovery

The domain publishes an MCP Server Card, AI Catalog, and RFC 9727 API Catalog. Response headers link to these documents.

MCP does not make every AI tool discover or install the server automatically. The client or person still has to allow the connection.
